Fantastic Kids Expo Raises Funds and Support for Foster Kids
"Thank you so much for everything that Creating Marketing Results has done to help raise awareness about the needs of children in foster care. The Kids Expo was a fantastic event.
The Department of Children and Families staff and foster parents were able to speak with many people from the community as well as local business owners. We were able to inform people of the need for more foster families and we were able to make connections with businesses to assist with donations for our foster children. There are so many people that are unaware of the needs for our youth. Thanks to you and the Kids Expo there is another fundraising event scheduled for May 30th, 2009. Maria Wood's Fashion Focus is having fashion show, America the Fashionable. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Plymouth Area Office's Children Fund which supports activities for foster children such as camp, music lessons, sporting equipment, picnics and other events. Some of our foster children will be in the fashion show- thanks to Maria. Maria also wants to work with our foster children in the future. This would not have happened if we did not meet at the Kids Expo (our tables were next to each other). Another great connection that was made from the Expo was with Golith printing. Mark Stafford is willing to work with our office and provide recruitment supplies at a great rate. Over 100 bags and back packs were donated by Lisa Fosdick at First Impressions. The back packs are used by our youth for school and/or for caring belongs to foster homes.
